Meet Anmol Aswani. She is from Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. She moved to Indore after her higher secondary education to complete her bachelor’s in B.Com. After her graduation, she worked with an advisory firm for a year. Currently, she is pursuing her masters in M.Com from DAVV University, Madhya Pradesh. At Springworks, she works as an operations Intern.
Let’s have a look at her journey!
What do you do as an Operations Intern at Springworks?
As an operations Intern, I work with the Data Entry team. I crop the documents received by the background verification team which will be further processed. Although it may sound like it is not a lot of work, I have to be cautious and crop the documents carefully. A candidate’s entire BGV process is dependent on this initial step. If there are errors the entire process has to be re-initiated.
How was the transition from in-office to remote work?
It is challenging. I used to work in-office where I could meet my colleagues but I used to spend a lot of my time travelling. I deliberately looked for remote work due to personal reasons. It’s been a great experience so far. Springworks has helped me to have a smoother transition and be more productive. I have a better work-life balance and more time. Apart from this, I am also able to juggle my studies and work.
What made you join Springworks?
My friend, Mahima had joined Springworks. One random day, she calls me up and talks about her work, opportunities and benefits. I was looking for remote work and with all things she spoke about Springworks felt like a great fit. Later on, I did a little bit of research on the company and read great reviews. I wanted to work here and I am happy to be a part of Springworks.
How was your Hiring and Onboarding experience?
The entire process was seamless and well-designed. It was quick and it was completed within a span of two weeks. After I applied, Suchika reached out to me and gave me an orientation on the next steps. I was given an assignment and my interviews were scheduled as soon as I completed it. Further, I had two rounds of interviews with Sudip and Sukrutha where we discussed my experience and my work. I loved the process and Suchika always followed up and kept me posted on the progress. Later on, I received my offer letter.
Moving On, to the onboarding process. The concept of having a buddy was something new and helpful. I met my buddy and manager a few days before my joining date of joining. On my first day, I learnt about the company’s values Slack and Keka. Later in the day, I had a meeting with my team and then I was informed about my training and work.
What is your favourite thing about working at Springworks?
Springworks motivates and respects every employee. Everyone here is ready to help and provide opportunities, and suggest ways to get work done. Here all our ideas and thoughts are heard. I am given an opportunity to speak my mind and initiate ideas. There is mutual respect and understanding amongst all. The work culture is the best.
Walk us through a day in the life of Anmol
I am an early riser. I wake up every day at 06:30 a.m. and hit the gym at 07:00 a.m. After my workout, I reach home and start my work at 10:00 a.m. I schedule my work and clear the pending cases. I take an hour’s break after noon and complete my work by 07:00. Post which it’s family time. I spend my evening with my family and relatives. We have dinner together and then I read a few pages from a novel.
What has been your best day at work?
There was this particular day in my first week of work when I had cleared the maximum number of cases. I had closed around 50 cases. It was a productive day and my manager was happy and appreciated my efforts. I also received my first Kudos. It was a happy day indeed.
What are your takeaways and challenges from work?
A lot of things are new for me. There is progress in my learning every day. I look forward to having my own startup in the future, this internship experience is opening up a lot of opportunities. More than takeaways and challenges, I look up to Sukrutha. She is an inspiring manager. She is always there for her team and helps us. I would be happy If I do 10% of what she does by the end of my internship. I have learned to manage my time and prioritize work.
What is your favourite among the two products, EngageWith and Trivia?
I like EngageWith in comparison to Trivia. Fostering a culture that appreciates and recognises the employees is very important. I love the concept of Kudos and Shoutouts. I am always excited to see my name and produce better results.
Sneak-Peek into your life outside Springworks
I love visiting the temple and spending time with my family. During my school days, I read “The Merchant of Venice” and since then Venice has been on my wish list. I do watch a lot of Turkish shows and read a lot of books. On Sundays, I just laze around and rejuvenate myself.
