Yuvraj joined Springworks in October 2022 and is from the “Leather city of India”, Kanpur. He is pursuing his Bachelors’ in Technology from KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. He started with 3D animation and web development and then transitioned into android development. Yuvraj is an enthusiastic learner and he loves exploring augmented and virtual reality.
What do you do as an Android Development Intern at Springworks?
I am a part of the Toro team. I resolve and fix bugs that arise on the Horizon360 app.
What made you join Springworks?
I have been following Springworks for some time. As soon as I came across the job opening, I applied. I heard a lot about the culture and the opportunities the team offers. I wanted to be part of the company and groom my skills. The company’s hiring process and management are commendable. This is one of my best decisions. Not only is the communication transparent but everyone is very efficient in their work.
How has your learning curve improved and did you encounter any challenges during this time?
My learning curve has been great. The entire team is divided and one is given a lot of tasks to perform. I am getting opportunities to work on scalable projects. At the start, I did get a little overwhelmed but with time I figured out a way. Coding is an aspect that makes me learn more. I am able to gather a lot of information and implement it in solving bugs and in delivering efficient codes.
Walk us through a day in the life of Yuvraj
I start my day at 08:00 am and freshen up to get ready for work. Since I work in the software development team, I do have a lot of tickets and tasks at hand. Keeping this in mind, I start work at 10:00 am. Firstly, I connect with the team manager and then my fellow team members. I resolve the tickets that arise and then proceed to the tasks assigned. I attend my Standup meet and then resume work. My work ends at 07:00 pm and then I get back to some reading and spending time with my family.
What is your favourite product among EngageWith and Trivia?
I like EngageWith. It serves as a morale boost for all the interns. Whether I receive Kudos or not, it drives me to give my best. I always look forward to the gratitude channel and the leaderboard. EngageWith is my biggest motivator and cheerleader.
What are you looking forward to in this internship and how will it help you achieve your career goals?
I am looking forward to working on more projects and tasks. This experience will take me a step closer towards my career. Once I graduate I would like to lead a team in making android applications that implement the latest tech stack. I want to develop a better interface and deliver better solutions to the users. Owing to the development in technology, the prospects are a lot and I will continue to work in that direction.
