We are artists, innovators, achievers, and dreamers, with a one-track mind to fine-tune the products that we build. She has been able to cater to us with many potential hires for our technical roles.
Let’s dive into it right away and take a peek into the life of a Recruitment Executive.
What does your job entail?
My responsibilities include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles.
I also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best professionals.
Ultimately, I build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire skilled employees for our IT positions like software engineers, summer/winter interns.
How has the recruitment process changed during remote working?
Springworks used recruitment software prior to the COVID-19 and was able to adapt quickly and easily transit to a fully virtual recruiting.
We just replaced face-to-face interviews with live video interviews, while the rest of our hiring process remained the same as it was before the COVID-19.
So technology that’s reliable was a key to a successful transition to remote recruitment. This has helped us innovate and modernize our recruitment process.
In my experience, once companies start using recruitment software, they never want to go back to their old way of hiring.
Virtual hiring assisted by effective recruitment software significantly improves the hiring process, making it shorter and cheaper for employers.
What do you like the most about your job?
When you offer a great candidate their dream job, there’s no better feeling than this for me.
And as a recruiter, you know that your support throughout the hiring process helped them secure the job that they’ve been searching for.
What do you like the least about your job?
In my opinion, the greatest obstacle for recruiters is connecting with candidates through the noise of all the other thousands of recruiters trying to reach out to the same candidates.
To overcome this challenge, Springworks does a great job by building a strong employer brand that makes great candidates chase our company rather than the other way around.
How do you reject your job applicants professionally and appropriately during your recruitment process?
I notify the applicants that they were not selected for an interview in the same email thread wherein I acknowledge receipt of their application. This helps our selection process to move quickly.
We intend to leave each applicant with a positive view of our organization which simple and timely communication will achieve. This positive impression affects a candidate’s application to your organization in the future.
