Let’s take a peek into the life of a Product Designer!

What do you do as a Product Designer at Springworks?

As a product designer, my tasks circle taking care of the design needs of EngageWith, an rewards and recognition app developed by Springworks. I manage the UI/ UX of the product while looking into aspects that can be improved and made better at every next step. Improving the user experience and interface is something that I work on daily.

What is your favorite part of your work?

I think I love both aspects of design, UI, and UX. The research, wire-framing, and prototyping are very interesting to me.

What is the one essential skill that one requires to possess to be a Product Designer?

To become a product designer, one needs to have the basic knowledge of what the product is and what it offers. Understanding the end-to-end development process of the product is a very crucial part of becoming an efficient product designer. Apart from this, if I am talking about technical skills, basic knowledge of UI/UX design is very important to move forward in this field.

How has your learning curve improved as a part of Springworks?

My journey has been really good! All I can say is that I get to learn new things every single day that tends to effectively contribute to my individual growth & development. In my previous organizations, I had worked on the design, but after coming to Springworks my actual journey as a product designer commenced. If I talk about my learning curve it has been only growing in a positive direction.

Walk us through a day in the life of Abhishek!

  • I start my day at 9:30 am
  • I start by checking in my messages, and mails and clear out any pending tasks from the previous day
  • Later I move on to discuss what needs to be done with my manager and then pick up tasks
  • I further move on to researching the topic that has been given to me and later on discusses it with my team to understand whether we are moving in the right direction

What keeps Abhishek motivated?

I think the idea of getting to learn something new every single day is what motivates me in life. If I am getting the opportunity to work and learn simultaneously, there is nothing better than that!

Sneak-peek into your life outside Springworks!

I love working out after I log out of work every day. Going to the gym keeps me motivated and active. On the weekends I try to be a part of any kind of sporting activity. I am a professional cricket player and I try to keep myself active as much as I can!
