Our next guest has mastered the art of doing HR the right way. We welcome Ravish Saily, Head of HR at Syngenta - an agriculture company focused on improving global food security by enabling millions of farmers to make better use of available resources.

Ravish has over two decades of diverse experience in the HR field. He spent the first half of his career working in Indian MNCs such as Tata Motors, Godrej & Boyce, and Reliance, after which he got opportunities to work in international MNCs such as Royal Bank of Scotland and Mastercard.

In this exciting career journey, he has explored various areas of HR - Commercial HR, Manufacturing HR, IR, Corporate HR, Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Engagement, and much more.

Ravish is well-known for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing HR practices that strongly align with the business.

We discuss with Ravish:

How can employers manage and engage diverse employees to the organization’s advantage?

  1. Organizations should think outside of the box - HR managers should convert their HR function into one that loves people for who they are.
  2. One size does not fit all - organizations should assign employees to tasks based on their strengths, and this will, in turn, motivate the employees.

How can managers contribute to the success of leadership development programs?

Leadership development programs should be designed according to the needs of the employees to ensure their growth. Managers should take the initiative to keep track of the progress in their L&D programs.

Precautionary steps to take while implementing changes in workplace rules

While implementing change, an organization's goal should be to empower its employees and gain their trust. This encourages more loyalty among employees.

How to successfully onboard new employees and retain them during 'The Great Resignation'?

Organizations should work towards bringing more flexibility within the existing policies to attract and retain talent. They should also focus on reducing dependency on a single employee.
