Life at Springworks: A day in the life of Founder’s Office at Springworks

Kanisha joined Springworks in July 2021. She belongs to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She has a degree in nutrition science from Florida State University after which she decided to diversify into the world of Startups and how things work in this vertical of the industry.

What does the title ‘Founder’s Office’ mean?

It’s a very varied role. I get to work with almost all the departments of the company, for example, the Sales team, the Product team, etc. Other than that, I tend to act as a bridge of communication between the senior leadership and smaller teams.

My other tasks involve working very closely with the CEO of Springworks, wherever he can’t participate, I try to be his voice! I am also handling the Social media accounts of Springworks, mainly LinkedIn & Twitter.

My role keeps on changing as per the business requirements of the company, sometimes I am involved in Sales demos, and other times I am doing LinkedIn reach-outs to potential clients.

What made you choose this line of work?

I started working as a nutritionist at a Startup before I joined Springworks. While I was working there my curiosity about how things work in the start-up atmosphere started building up.

Throughout my entire career, I have always been interested in the research side of things, never tried to step out of my comfort zone to try something new. This was my way of challenging myself and seeing what I can do!

Working in a Founder’s Office was the best stepping stone for me because it allows me to learn about every single department of the company and also a first-hand experience of how a start-up is run.

What would you consider to be an essential skill that one requires to be a part of the Founder’s Office?

Always be on top of things!

Since I work with multiple departments, I am always involved in multiple projects at the same time. Being able to multitask and be available is one thing that I would say is very important.

Apart from that, just understand how the CEO works!

Sneak-peek into your life outside Springworks

I am a badminton player along with being an aerial gymnast! So generally after my work, you will find me on my silk just working out. I also was training to learn Kalaripayattu which is a type of martial arts. I love being active in any way possible, so these are the few things that help me.
