Jahnavi Golla joined Springworks remotely in March, 2020. Prior to Springworks, she has worked as an Account Assistant for a few companies where she used to work on financial systems to perform accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, direct taxes and income tax return filing.

After working in the finance domain for more than seven years, she decided to make a career transition to an operations profile right after taking a break of eight months.

Making a career switch wasn’t as easy because I had to learn things from scratch at my new job. This is sometimes more difficult when you have years of experience working for a different industry. However, everyone at Springworks was there to help me out with anything that I was stuck on.

Let’s dive into it right away and take a peek into the life of a QC Specialist!

How are quality checks of a background verification case done at SpringVerify? How do you contribute to the process?

SpringVerify takes accuracy very seriously and are proud of the level of quality and accuracy of the services we provide.

All searches where a record is found or information discrepant to what the applicant provided is verified, I review it before they can be released to the client.

During this QA process, the search is reviewed to ensure that the information being reported is accurate and up to date, matches the applicant, and that all applicable restrictions, regulations, and requirements are followed and applied.

In addition to these standard QA processes, SpringVerify performs monthly tracking and testing on all researchers and vendors to ensure that they meet all of our accuracy requirements.

Errors are documented each month and processes are reviewed to prevent recurrences. Our strict adherence to our quality management system processes allows us to provide our clients with the most accurate information possible

What do you think is the best part about your job?

We come across different kinds of discrepancies in the background checks almost everyday, so it creates a learning process as to how to deal with new challenges, every time. Hence, this causes us to gain domain knowledge.

Are there any challenges? If so, how do you handle them?

Yes. Lots of challenges. For one, trying to keep the clients satisfied and to make sure a good quality check of the overall process. Second, if a difficult problem occurs, you have to be available to solve it as soon as possible.

I love birdwatching. I can recognize almost 30 species of birds and tell their names. When you hear, learn, understand, observe these birds in their habitat along with knowledge – it further enriches the entire experience. Here are some pictures of birds I captured-

What advice would you give someone who is seeking the same line of work?

Learn. Take advice from your coworkers that have been there for years. Ask tons of questions. Be coachable.

What is the Springworks team like?

I was fortunate enough to get this job during the lockdown as I was on a break since I left my last job. Honestly, I haven’t been a part of such an employee-centric organization. Employees are provided with a work-from-home allowance to set up their workstations during remote work. A wifi allowance is also given to us.

Apart from this, the organization makes sure to reward and recognize its employees’ efforts from time to time. Being a part of Springworks just feels good.
