Life at Springworks: A day in the life of a QA Engineer

Anusha belongs to the coastal city of Honnavar and is currently settled in Bangalore, Karnataka. She joined Springworks back in 2017 and has been working as a QA Engineer for the last 5 years. Before Springworks, she worked for multiple organizations, like Mindtree and Hashtag.

Let’s take a peek into the life of Anusha Bhat!

What do you do as a QA Engineer at Springworks?

I am currently working as a QA for the project, Plowz and Mowz Inc. As a part of the Plowz team my daily work circles around the priorities set up for the app’s web testing. Along with this, I am also responsible for helping the customer support team with any kind of technical assistance and clarity required on any aspect.

What is your favorite part of your work?

Being a QA has given me the freedom to test my hands on any tool required for improvement. This helps me in trying out new technologies and also promotes my learning and development. The opportunity to put forth my best effort and ideas is what makes my job more fun and interesting.

Walk us through a day in the life of Anusha!

I log in to work around 11:30 am. I mainly focus on Plowz-related pings during the start of my work. My work goes till 8:00 pm. I generally take a break in between whenever I feel the need to. At the end of the day, I write down all the things I wasn’t able to do that day and review priorities for the next day.

Which is your favorite product amongst our two apps, Trivia & EngageWith?

I love both the products equally! Trivia brings people together by letting us play quizzes and games on a common platform. This promotes team-building and helps us in getting to know our cross-functional teammates as well. EngageWith promotes the idea of recognition amongst the team members that tend to motivate them to perform better and also helps in creating a culture of appreciation in the organization.

What are the challenges that you face in your day-to-day work schedule?

The challenge of work-life balance is easily achieved in Springworks due to the culture; sudden guests/ maids not around sometimes don’t make the day go smoothly. However, due to the wonderful team and co-operation, it’s all possible to manage work and life here.

In my free time I love to feed the stray dogs and cattle which are present around my house!
