Life at Springworks: A day in the life of an Operations Intern

Karan belongs to the state of Punjab but has been born and raised in Jammu, (J&K). He is currently pursuing his MBA in HR & Banking from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. He joined Springworks in January 2022 as an Operations Intern and has been working with the SpringVerify-India team.

Let’s take a peek inside the life of an Operations Intern!

What do you do as an Operations Intern at Springworks?

As an Operations Intern, I am working in the Education team where we verify the qualifications of the candidates by initiating the cases and checking for the universities procedure for the verification. Once the initiations are done we do follow-ups with the university and when the confirmation is received we close the checks.

How has your learning curve improved as a part of Springworks?

Since I joined Springworks, every day I learn something new as the education process is so vast that we have to do a lot of research. The process has not only made me keep an eye on detail but has helped me in building myself personally. I have become more patient and calm, along with learning a lot of skills on a day-to-day basis.

Walk us through a day in the life of Karan!

  1. My day starts with waking up at 5:30 am and dropping my father at the bus stop.
  2. The cool and fresh air on the way back just opens up my eyes and makes me fully awake by then.
  3. After that, I have a lot of time for myself and I spend that time exercising.
  4. Around 9 am I usually drop my mother to her office and I start working at 9:30 am
  5. After finishing my work at around 6:45 pm or 7:00 pm, I log out for the day.
  6. Once I log out, I and my parents have a cup of tea-coffee together where we usually talk about our day.
  7. Later I spend time studying and usually I go to sleep at around 10 pm or 10:30 pm.

Which is your favorite product amongst our two apps, Trivia & EngageWith?

It’s tough to choose from Trivia and Engagewith, but if I have to choose one then it will be EngageWith because somewhere I feel that if we are getting recognized that gives a motivation to do better and through EngageWith we can recognize people for the work they do and thus motivate them to perform even better.

Sneak-peek into your life outside Springworks!

I love listening to music and preferably Punjabi music because it pumps me up and gives me motivation which helps me to do my tasks quickly and easily.
