We started the series talking to our interns to understand how it is like working at Springworks, their ambitions and their thoughts about technology. We are rated 4.8 on Glassdoor.

There are many reasons why getting an internship is a brilliant start to your career. Today, we’ll discuss Devansh Mishra’s internship experience at Springworks.

Devansh was born in Lucknow but moved to Hyderabad with his family. He is a huge fan of sports and loves playing football. In addition, he loves to learn musical instruments, currently learning kalimba. He completed his engineering (electronic and communication) from MIT university, Pune.

How was your time at Springworks?

I joined Springworks in April 2021 as a Software developer Intern but eventually took up the Marketing intern position. During my Internship, I had a lot of fun, learned a lot of things.

Being from a tech background, everything was very new for me. However, I met a lot of friendly people who supported me and have an amazing work ethic.

What all projects did you work on during your internship with Springworks?

Since I joined as an intern, I got my hands dirty with everything. I explored various fields and learned new things. I started with marketing and SEO, link-building website domains.

I also took on customer support daily. I was also interested in the product side and therefore worked on Trivia, adding new quizzes, quality checks with old quizzes, etc.

What are your views on remote work?

I find remote work very convenient and flexible, like to choose my own work hours depending on my productivity. I Find remote work to have many advantages like saving a lot of money and time and spending time with my family. I never imagined that after engineering, I would get to spend so much time with my family.

The best part of remote work for me is that I can wake up and go to work. However, I do miss working from the office!

Why a startup?

I believe one can have their own identity when working for a startup. You have the freedom to execute new ideas and techniques. You can make and maintain more relations, and know more people. I think my efforts are tangible.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I want to finish my MBA and would love to lead a team on tech-related projects. I believe I have a nag for tech.

Walk us through a day in your life

As a marketing Intern at Springworks, my day usually begins with locating relevant high authority domains and reaching out to them for links and infographic placement.

Post that, I would answer questions about our products on popular forums such as Reddit & Quora and mention them on numerous products & business listing websites. This is followed by a quality check of our product’s database and adding new questions on trending topics for our quizzes.

I also respond to any queries coming in from our customers, and adding a copy for our product’s UI would conclude my work for the day.

Post work, I like to watch and play football, jump rope and visit the gym occasionally. Other days, I just stay in and play FIFA or practice a new song on my kalimba.

Your biggest takeaway(s)?

My biggest takeaway from this internship is, “One should never be afraid to take risks.” I am thrilled to be a part of this organization.
