How does the process work?

Here’s a step-by-step process to claim your Bounty rewards. Please note that all the steps leading up to adding your ETH address where you want the SPRING token are compulsory.

Step 1: Login to your SpringRole profile. (If you haven’t created your profile yet, go ahead and click the link and ‘Get Started’ to sign up. Ensure that you use an active email address to sign up. As an added bonus, you will get 100 more SPRING tokens.)

If you already have a SpringRole profile with your a) Name, b) Profile Picture, c) at least three skills and d) Work experience added, then you can skip Steps 2 & 3 and directly move to Step 4.

Step 2: Please add your name, profile picture, and at least three skills to set up your SpringRole profile.

Step 3: Please add at least one Work Experience. Adding WorkEx on your SpringRole profile is very easy with our 1-click LinkedIn import.

Step 4: If you have completed Step 1–3, then head over to Account Settings by clicking the dropdown menu on the right corner of your profile > My Account. Alternatively, you can directly go to this link.

Step 5: Head over to All Connected Accounts’ tab > ‘Telegram’ section > Link your Telegram account. This will help us match your Telegram account with the one you specified during the Bounty campaign.

Step 6: Now switch to the ‘Account Settings’ tab. You will see an option to ‘Claim Airdrop’. Here select your ETH address where you want to receive the SPRING token airdrop. Once you select the requisite ETH address, you will see a message — `Your airdrop deposit request has been successfully submitted. Join our telegram to stay updated on timing.`

You are done!

As an extra step, you can claim 100 bonus SPRING tokens, by completing your KYC with Civic. (Note: This is an optional step.) The process to get KYC verified with Civic is noted below.

Step for optional KYC: Click on ‘Begin your KYC with Civic’. You will be shown a Civic QR code. At this point, you will have to download the ‘Civic Secure Identity’ app from the Google Play Store or App Store.

(Side note on KYC with Civic — We’re thrilled to partner with Civic and widen the scope of our services. The integration of reusable, decentralized KYC benefits YOU (our users) by strengthening your verified professional profile with an added layer of identity verification. It aligns with our goal of making online identity easier and more reliable.)

An added advantage for you is that Civic’s reusable KYC saves users the hassle of filling forms and providing necessary documentation every time they need to share sensitive information. All while leaving you in complete and secure control of your cryptographically encrypted data.

If you experience any issues with Civic KYC, please first go to Civic’s Help Center to troubleshoot your issues. If you are unable to find the appropriate help topic, you should submit a ticket to Civic after reviewing the help content. Few notes:

  • To allow all of our 60,000+ community members, we will give them ample time to complete this process.
  • You will only receive the SPRING tokens in your wallet once all the eligible users have gotten a fair amount of time to complete this process. Please be informed that this will take at least 6–8 weeks.
  • We’ll announce the last dates for the process to be completed in due time.

For any comments regarding the process, feel free to contact our support channels or ask us your queries on our Telegram group.

What is the deadline to complete KYC?

KYC has been made optional as of November 07.

Is KYC mandatory for bounty hunters or is it only for airdrop participants?

KYC has been made optional as of November 07, for both Airdrop and Bounty participants.

We still recommend it in the interest of enhanced security of your profile. But it is NO LONGER A COMPULSORY STEP to claim the airdrop/bounty.

To be fair to the users who have already gone through the process and got their profiles KYC-verified, we’ll be adding a BONUS OF 100 SPRING tokens to these profiles. And, this will also hold true for all users who henceforth, get their profiles KYC-verified. In short, you can earn 100 bonus tokens by getting the Civic KYC verification.

Is CIVIC secure? Do you store or use the documents provided during KYC?

Civic is a trusted name in the Blockchain space. You can read more about their reusable, decentralized KYC product here: https://www.civic.com/products/reusable-kyc/ .

Civic’s reusable KYC is completely secure and decentralized.

Plus, at our end, we only save the hashes of the documents so there is no way to recreate the original documents.

When will the tokens be distributed?

The final count of all tokens (airdrop and/or bounty, as applicable) will show up on everyone’s profile a week before the actual token airdrop.

Bounty hunters will receive their airdrop tokens along with the others (who participated in the airdrop) and their Bounty tokens will be distributed a month after the date of distribution of the airdrop tokens (as agreed upon initially).

The whole process will take upto 6–8 weeks for the actual airdrop distribution to happen and one month from that date for the Bounty tokens to be distributed.

How do I enter my ETH address?

We support Metamask, Portis and MyEtherWallet. You can go through the steps and set one of these up as your preferred wallet address to receive the tokens.

Do you support MEW?

For users who want to add their MEW addresses, we have added the capability now. We are delighted to tell you that we were able to deploy this within a week of this feature being requested by our community. This is a solid testimony to the #BUIDL culture at SpringRole.

To connect your MEW address, go to the ‘All connected accounts’ tab, in settings on your SpringRole profile. Once connected, you can select this address in the ‘Claim airdrop’ section.

This is in addition to support for Metamask and Portis wallets, which have been there since the beginning.

PS: The process of signing your wallet is only to prove your ownership of the same. We never receive/store your private key.

How does bounty distribution work?

We will work with bounty manager and distribution will happen as per the list. We will ask for the Telegram login profile with the selected ETH address while distributing tokens later.

This is to clarify that the Bounty hunters have to follow the above claim process. There were comments about how SpringRole would be able to verify the validity of claims made by Bounty hunters, as their emails were not recorded.

We’d like to clarify that the claims will be validated via their Telegram accounts that they specified during the SpringRole bounty campaign. All you have to do is once you have completed the process specified in the blog post, you can head over to Settings> ‘All Connected Accounts’ tab > ‘Telegram’ section > Link your Telegram account. This will help us match your Telegram account with the one you specified during the Bounty campaign.

I just need a simple form field to copy and paste my wallet. I don’t want to sign my wallet addresses. Is it possible?

That is not possible, currently.

We have told you the reasoning behind the process. The signature is being used to sign and authenticate that it is indeed your wallet that you are adding.

SpringRole does not receive/store the private key.

If you still are uncomfortable, please feel free to use a fresh MEW/Metamask/Portis wallet address just for this airdrop.
