Vanshika Singh was born and raised in New Delhi, the heart of India. After completing her schooling in Delhi, she moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to pursue her undergraduate degree in technology from SRM University. Later on, she joined HackerEarth (a technical hiring platform) and worked with them for 2.5 years. This is where she started getting inclined toward Product Management and then, later on, joined Springworks in May 2022 as Associate Product Manager.

What do you do at Springworks?
I work as an Associate Product Manager for SpringVerify India. I am in charge of the product’s enhancements, features, and growth. My responsibilities involve prioritizing and scoping out features, collaborating with developers and QA on implementation, gathering client feedback and requests, collecting pertinent data, and aligning with the product’s vision.
What are the things that you want to focus on in the coming year?
I aim to make significant contributions to SpringVerfiy products that will benefit thousands of consumers. In the long term, I want to be a good Product Manager that understands the user and creates strategic product roadmaps based on values rather than features.
What is your favorite part about Springworks?
It’s got to be the workcation benefit! Springworks employees work from anywhere. Workcation benefits allow me to take a vacation from my tedious work life by allowing me to travel to new locations, work more efficiently, and achieve a wonderful work-life balance. Workation allows me to be both relaxed and creative!
How has your learning curve improved as a part of Springworks?
At Springworks, I get the opportunity to collaborate with numerous stakeholders while having a high level of ownership and responsibility. I learn something new every day. I’m learning a lot about the product, technology, and usage patterns as I interact with folks here. Working on a few projects recently has taught me about UI/UX, data analysis, how to think like a user, and so much more!
How has working remotely helped you?
Amazingly well! I enjoy every bit of it. I get to work according to my comfort and efficiency, have time for other things, take short breaks in between tasks, save money on travel and living expenses, have time for my interests and skill development, and work without limitations.
Walk us through a day in the life of Vanshika!
- I wake up at 8 in the morning and take out time for stretching and exercise.
- I start my day with a healthy breakfast by scrolling through the news app.
- I log in by 10:30 am and start my work.
- I go through Gmail, Slack, JIRA, and Trello, to check if anything needs my immediate attention.
- I connect with my product and engineering team at noon for a standup call.
- Then I start working on my tasks based on their priority.
- I connect with Devs, QA, and CS teams frequently over slack all over the day.
- I work on product features, make notes based on meetings, and keep updating Trello and JIRA board throughout the day.
- Connect with my manager, Anoop, for his review/feedback on my work.
- I complete the work that I planned for the day by 8 pm
- At the end of the day, I create a TO-DO list for the next day, and always look forward to the next day at work.
Which is your favorite product amongst our two apps, Trivia & EngageWith?
My favorite app is EngageWith. I truly enjoy the concept behind developing the app, especially the value it provides to its users. It has made it so simple to acknowledge and thank your colleagues for their work. They feel respected and inspired to go above and above for their company!
What made you join Springworks?
At my previous organization, I saw HR was using the Springverify tool and was quite happy with that. I wanted to work on this product as a product manager. I also heard a lot about the great culture. All these things made me join immediately!
What is the one thing that you would recommend to people to join here?
The culture of Springworks! And the people who make it a reality. Join if you want to grow, feel valued, and work with some creative people!
Sneak-peek into your life outside Springworks!
I spend time with my family and friends. I go out for a walk and explore new cafes in the city. I also spend 30-60 minutes every day reading books (Sci-fi, tech, and Product Management). I love how Springworks’ perks and policies help me have a balance in my professional and personal life.
